Hita Litekyan is partnering with local non-profit Micronesia Climate Change Alliance to establish a zero-waste community meeting space, which aims to promote environmental and cultural preservation in Guam and across the Mariånas Archipelago. The space will be located at Sagan Kotturan Chamoru Cultural Center and is designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment where community members from diverse backgrounds can gather, learn, and take action towards creating a safer, more sustainable home for our children and future generations.

As the military buildup moves forward in Guam and our political status remains in limbo as an unincorporated terrority or colony of the United States, it’s a critical time for us to organize against harmful systems that threaten our sacred lands, waters, and peoples.
